The Bench.

Okay, warning you ahead of time of something that you already KNOW. I have a craptastic camera- sorry in advance.

See the ugly gold fabric? Pretty hip huh? Oh, I don't cut in straight lines, your okay with that right? Otherwise the rest of the pictures are gonna be rough for you :)

I put a ton'o'batting on it, (I didn't have any foam around but I did have batting for pillows..it worked fine for me, I just tried to make it one big even pile..even if it's not-it'll even out as people sit on it...lets hope:) )and covered with some white cotton fabric otherwise the black and white would have shown through, not so cute.

I bought some of those button maker thingys to put a few buttons on the top with the left over fabric, and well I used the only thick thread I had left (bright ol' red) and meant to tie it up with some buttons through the bottom like I see everyone else do. HOWEVER, all my buttons were too small and well- to be perfectly honest it didn't work...totally not my fault it was all the button. I didn't have the patience to work with it anymore. I tied them together and ended the chaos.

It is SOO fluffy now, it's like sitting on a big pillow! I love it. You can't really tell but I sanded it also to make it look worn. Husband's response? "Why did you paint it if your just going to beat it up again?"

*Sigh* Men.

You can almost see where it dips down from the buttons. It's so much prettier in real life. Love it.

Busy bee.

Well I have to work tonight argh, and it's friday. So, I'll be running around the house trying to clean up before Mr. P comes home so he can think that I keep the place top notch while he's gone. Know the glade commercial while she just sprays some glade about the house and then goes out and does her own thing? Yeah that's me all week. Wait did I just admit to that?

But between loads of laundry I'll be working on this.

It used to be in my bedroom when I was in high school, and it belonged to my great grandma- so it's pretty special. It started out with icky goldish greenish fabric...ew, so when I first dipped my toe into the decorating pool I just threw some zebra fabric on it. Now it's getting a whole rehab. Remember that red toile fabric? Yes, see my vision? Me too.
Anyone notice what's wrong with this picture? I do.

How many days till spring?

So, I've been locked in my house, held captive by a 3 year old and a 1 year old. I Knoww right? What's a girl to do? Remember this?

Yes, gives me the chills too.

Well, 11 o'clock came rolling around one night and as I was cleaning out said cabinet, I found a teeeny tinny bit o' black paint left. You understand where I'm going with this? Built in....Bookshelf...yes...right..yes..do it. So I did just that, I did it. I painted my built in black. Yep.

Then, I watched design on a dime. Wanna know what they did? They took bead board (if you didn't know, bead board=love around these parts) slapped it on the front of a cabinet and put trim around it. So, I don't think the black is going to last..Some gorgeous white beadboard..ahh..feels good. feels right. Good thing, I haven't even finished the doors..HA, darn that motivation, it sneaks up on me and then doesn't come knockin' till weeks later. Oh yeah, I didn't sand either- notice the scratches? Yep that happens when you don't sand. Whatev... no big deal right? haha ohh and about the backs? Well since my arm was too tired to stretch in there and paint I could easily cover it up with pretty scrapbook paper, it wasn't necessary. :)

Next.

Look what this lucky girl got today,

Can you take some wild guesses on what I'm going to do with these items? Hmm...

One more of the bird because it's sooo cute, and from target...it was like a dollar, c'mon couldn't pass him up.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Those of you that read my blog know that Mr. P works out of town Monday-Friday. This caused quite an uproar in our marriage and my sanity. However, there's always a light at the end of the tunnel- No he's not coming home anytime soon, but we did find out how absolutely positively in love we are! Ewww enough right? No, really though. It's so sugary cutesy it's sick. Feel free to look away now- I wont be offended.

Friday night after I got out of work Mr. Bowchickawowwow was home- yay! And, he brought a gift. He didn't wrap it, there was no card, it was very simple. A journal. He took time, while he was gone to fill out our love story! Answered the simply sweet questions it had inside and let me into his mind and heart which I've been picking and picking so annoyingly like for years. (What are you thinking about now? How about now? Why are you so quiet? Whats wrong? How much do you love me? Why do you love me? Why me? Am I still sexy? Are you sure? Is that girl over there prettier than me?... Yes, that's me the broken record named give me attention now!)

The responses in the book where short and sweet, just like him. To the point. The most surprising part was that some of his most fondest memories, weren't even ones that I remembered! Times where he fell in love with me? Wouldn't of guessed. He finally gave me what I wanted, every answer to every question I had about why he was in love with ME, of all girls.. me. I melted.

Oh- and a 1/2 dozen assorted roses were sent to my work ala' husband. But to tell you the truth, my love journal trumps it.

Sorry to be all mushy gushy. But I think I fell in love this weekend, it's crazy.

I love you sir! Thanks for being *you* Which includes never looking into the camera. It's cool, no biggie you sure look sexy from the side! :)

Love, it must be Love.

*Sniff Sniff* Oh hello my name is Momma and I'm still SICK! And LB1 has a double ear infection :( her first one ever! LB2 has a horrible cough and a icky boogie nose! You know your a mom when it's totally normal and acceptable for you to go at your youngest daughters nose with tweezers to get the sticky boogs out.

On a happier note, yesterday it was 60..yes that's.. six-zero.. degrees outside!!! It was amazing! My yard is ugly dead grass now instead of ugly dirty snow! :) However, this just in. It's snowing right now. *Sigh* Maybe in a few hours it'll be nice again- it is Michigan, so here's to wishin!

Okay on to the Love Lovin' goin' around mommaville. I wanted to make something cute for my work friends (W.F if your reading this avert your eyes until Saturday!) because well, I love them. And, since Mr. Perfect is out of town I need a different Valentine. How about 8! :) Lucky girls they are.

I stole borrowed some canning jars from my mom and Valentinesed (Yes I just went there) them out. Cute huh? Very easy, I put the paper on the inside because in my eyes it looked better but it could be on the outside too. Added the ribbon and the pin, they had little tags on them but they kept getting pulled on by little fingers magically pulled off while I wasn't in the room. They're getting filled with some delish dove chocolate, mainly because that's all I have in my house and if I don't get rid of it soon Mr. P is gonna come home to a naked Momma because she won't fit into any of her clothes.

Now that I think about that, he might like that. Hmm.. I could go to the store still and pick up some other candy......

Oh yeah- the jars. I made a special one for the girls Mema, she watches them during the week for us and on date nights and LB1 has a very special relationship with her so we decided to put LB1's memories in it for her. We made a big ol' list of why we love our Mema and special times they've had together and stuffed them in there.

My favorite was "I love my Mema because she buys things just for me that I don't have to share with my sister."

I made another sanitizer bottle for my friend who is a teacher, she was going to get a jar full of chocolate, but to be completely honest the girl doesn't need one more piece of candy!

Kidding, that skinny minny could use some meat on her bones, but really she is a teacher and was JUST complaining about going through so much purel during the week, and my light bulb went off.

I wish I had more time to make my house pretty for v-day. I had a big list of things I wanted to do but I'm just soooo busy blowing my nose and wrangling kids to put ear drops in I just seemed to run out of time. :)

All you girls that I stalk daily, sometimes hourly glance at every once and a while who have these amazing ideas, I love you. Thank you for giving me something to look at and wish that I could make! I wish you all could be my Valentines! Or, the other way around so I could get all your cool loot! I mean, oh never mind I'm not fooling anyone.

Love you girls!

Organizing

What do you do when your hallway closet that is supposed to hold, everything.......
....Literally does, and ends up looking like this?

Duh- you shut the door? Ha, or so I thought for 3 years. Not anymore though, not anymore I tell you.

You go to HobLob and buy some photo boxes (**Half off this week, turn off the computer and run.. You can read the rest later. RUN. 2.00ish a box! Go!) And put everything in its place! See all those camera cords.. no reason not to be in the Camera & Accessories Box. Need some band aids? Well, you can guess where those are....

Um, so you caught me, I only did the top half of the closet. I didn't realize how many boxes I needed and didn't get enough. But I had to stop and take a picture for blogger, naturally. But the top half looked just like the bottom so you get the picture. I don't think I like the red labels though. Kind of makes me want to, puke. Not really but are they ugly in red? Something about the red and white makes me upset? Maybe it's the icky-supposed-to-be-white paint that the cabinets are that are now a dingy 40 year old yellow. It's making it look not so clean I feel. Thoughts?

Oh and I bought one of these for LB1's school stuff. I went from a million and then some pictures all over the fridge to one or two. Pretty good I'd say. She likes being able to look at her stuff too.

Don't you feel so much better when your house slowly but surely gets cleaned up and organized? I do!

25 Things.. a peek.

I got tagged on facebook to do this, waited a few weeks and decided to do it here for fun. I mean, you wanted to know 25 random things about me right? *Sigh* I knew it.

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

1. I'm obsessive about numbers, I add things and subtract them all day long, writing them on scrap paper or doing it in my head when I'm nervous. I should be an accountant. Or have more money to be obsessive about..

2. I could and would eat taco bell daily. It's the key to my heart.

3. Sonic, however is coming in a close second.

4. I would love to be pregnant again, but can not handle another baby right now... just keepin it real.

5. I want to be the next Martha.

6. I would be perfectly happy wearing sweats and a tshirt daily.

7. I color my hair way too much for my own good. It's screaming for help.

8. I believe in ghosts. And, have one in my house. My friends can tell you that- random things move, people talk who aren't there. Spoooooky!

9. I have 5 amazing people in my life that I know i can count on no matter what happens

10. I absolutely would move out of state on a whim if givin the chance.

11. I ran out of gas while pulling into the gas station once. I didn't walk up to the station, I called Mr.P to come get me and help. People stared. It was horrible. See why I need him here at home with me? I'm hopeless!

12. Mr.Perfecto and I went on our first date 9 years ago.. Awe.

13. My neighbor and I are going to duel soon, a result of him shoveling his (dirty, brown, ugly) snow into my yard. every. day. I have enough over here, I don't need his too!

14. I have a phobia of spiders, no really... it's pathetic. I can't talk about it.

15. I know what people are going to tip by just looking at them, its a gift really.

16. I love me some NipTuck.. and Big love, and True blood.

17. Team Edward.. all the way. Obsessed.

18. Speaking of, I finished the whole series in a week, I love it. I'm moving on to the Sookie Stackhouse series.

19. My husband works out of town and I miss him SOOOOOOOO much during the week/Month depending. :(

20. I'm horribly critical of my body. I hate it, and would love a boob job and a tummy tuck.

21. I knew I would marry hubs way back when I was a crazy freshman with a crush on the cute Junior guy.. ;) And, I told anyone who would listen. He thinks I had a voodoo doll...

That's debatable.

22. I've painted my living room 3 times in the last year. I think I'm okay with the color...right now.

23. I laugh till I cry till I pee a little....... I mean, I don't but I know someone who does....

24. I make my children's lives as magical as possible- literally.. we had a elf move in for the Christmas season. ;-)

25. I did everything backwards in life- and it couldn't have turned out better! :)

Some of these are kind of lame, I'm sorry.... It's wayyy past Mommas bed time!

My love, my life.

I prayed for this child and God has given me what I asked of Him 1Samuel 1:27
Almost Two years ago I decided to have another baby. Yes, I was barely 20. I was still too young, still too crazy. What was I thinking? What was I thinking when I had my first at 18? Well, your right..the first time I wasn't.
Things changed. I wasn't 18 anymore, I was a mom with a family, in a little house with a little dog. A house with pictures in them. Pictures of a family of three.

Someone was missing. 20 or not, something was missing. Everyone said I was crazy when I was going to actually TRY and get pregnant. Gasp! Who does that when they have the rest of their lives ahead of them?
Oh you didn't get the memo? Your life ends with children. Anyways we planned and...tried. And planned and tried. Nothing, no baby? It wasn't this hard the first time? Time went by, and after 50 or so pregnancy tests one finally gave me what I wanted. +

Flash forward 9 months...

Hello beautiful.

Today is her birthday. We went out, had some fun. A fellow mom said to me "Your my daughters age and you have two kids?"

Yes, yes I do.

At 18, yes I wanted to be free. Move far away somewhere warm make a ton'o money and worry about numero uno.

At 21 I want to be a mom. My children are the absolute best thing that were given to me. I'm not the average 21 year old, I'm a mommy. Is it so hard to look at me without sad eyes at what my life could have been? Instead seeing how amazing my life really is? I have no regrets, why do strangers with no clue, tell me how hard it must be.

Babe, the bars ain't got nothin' on you! ;)

Happy Birthday love, my life.

What I've been up to..

Like I said before, I've been up to some lovely projects and organizing. Enjoy.

These soap and handsanatizer bottles are a stolen and genius idea, from Chris at http://j-a-girl.blogspot.com/. Love them, hopefully LB1's teacher does too.. Oh who am I kidding, of course she will.

And, these have been floating around blogland for a while I suppose, but I just jumped the bandwagon. I made a plate, well I drew on it atleast. And, baked it. Voila` It's beautiful. Besides the smudge I didn't notice first, and well.. didn't get to yet.

Oh and notice that new countertop these projects are laying (lying?) on? Yes thats my new countertop. It's in, its beautiful. I'm in love.

Remember this?

It's not done, but so far, it's this.

Yep, new floor. Ala` Momma! See that glimpse of beadboard on the side of the cabinets? Yep! My idea too! Oh you don't see the trim? No thats because it's not there yet. No problem, nothing some mistreatments can't fix right? :)

And yes, my chain on the light is wayyyy too long and I just looped it. It'll be fixed. Mind you, Mr. Perfect works out of town for basically forever and a day, and well that thing is HEA-VY! I could only hold it up so long. And well the table said the same thing about me so that wasnt an option either.

Night all!
