New look?

So, I needed some spring in my life. What do ya'll think? Green is good? I mean, I'm not nearly even a teeny tiny bit as close to as good as the pros out there but I did what I could for free. You like? Good change? Thoughts?

I've already showed all of you this once before but I'm gonna do it again for the spray paint party that I'm SO late to!





I didn't take a before picture but you can imagine, this wasn't very cute. It was too country lookin' for this girl. Yellow wood. 'Nuff said!

And, um. Yep it was almost winter when this all happened.. Imagine Mr. P's horror when he walked outside and I was in the dark with a spray paint can in my hand.

Grass grows.

Here's the after. I added scrapbook paper to the back and ribbon down the front. It still needs some embellishments and pictures of the LBs but it went from something I would of just tossed to something so sweet for their room! And, I see these all over in thrift stores, there's probably one out there waiting for you!

What's to come.

I've said before I love planning for things. Making lists, getting ready. Being excited for something. Lately I've felt like I'm in a funk, almost like I have no purpose, nothing to work for, nothing to strive for.

So I said to myself. "Self, c'mon let's do something fun. You deserve it!" So I am. We are, I mean. The bugs, Mr. P and I.

In two months we will be here

The wonder that is Toile! :)

Pretty Organized Palace is having a toile party today! Yes! Remember I just got done refinishing my beat up stool? In what fabric? Yep. Toile!



The picture quality is horrid, I know. And, this was mid-kitchen re-do. So it's a mess up in here! But I couldn't pass showing her off! I'm so proud! You can see how I put her together here.


Oh look, at these cuties! I bought some cheapo frames, and cut the pink toile to fit around the already pre-cut matte.


Again, it's so tough with the worlds.wost.camera. But aren't these just the sweetest things you've ever seen? The hand prints were made by the lovebugs of course, with craft paint. They hang outside of their rooms.

Those sneaky leprechauns..

LB1 and I made a trap and look what happened! Little fella' ate his way out!





We baited him with an apple and some pennies. Look what he left! Some lovely gold and a bitten apple.. Oh what's that? He must have drank the water because it's green!



Silly boy, he must have been extra thirsty because he got into the fridge too! Whaat?? Green milk? Yeah that's just nasty.




Maybe I'll be back after breakfast. Turns out he seemed to have made the eggs and pancakes green also! So, hopefully LB1 is excited. Otherwise me running around the house figuring out what I can squirt some food coloring in will be totally ridiculous. :)

Sorry about the lateness! Blogger wouldn't let my photos upload, BUT it's still Monday! So.. we're up and running- hope you enjoy!

So as I said, we're not starting off with my kitchen. Or my entryway for that matter. We starting off with the *most* almost finished room. Besides a cute table and chairs, curtains and one more set of painted circles to be finished (If I ever actually get to it). But, it's not perfect and I'm okay with that, big LB loves it and that makes me love it too.

It started off with this painting. No real reason, other than I just loved the whimsy to it. How I do love pale pink and shabby chic, LB1 is a crazy girl- hot pink polka dots where an obvious choice.

And, how lucky was I to find a polka dot comforter set in my price range at Wal-mart! It's not my dream set, but it's held up for almost 2 years now and it's cute enough.

You may remember this dresser? It's a rehab that used to be my moms set when she was a little girl! Got rid of the ivory and gold and added some cute scrapbook stickers. Love it! She has a sister dresser- but sister dresser is in younger sisters room. :) She stands alone and proud.

And, for fun- the opposite wall. Yes, she has a t.v, and a makeshift potty room goin' on here. Just keepin' it real. Even though these built-ins create a ton of issues with bed placement.. they are lovely to keep our out of seasons and big toys (they're reallllly deep dressers). Love them!

And, for a little more whimsy...her fluttering butterflies hanging from the room. There's only two right now, but I'm waiting for HobbyLobby to have them 50% off. Soon, so soon.

Get ready..

I'm cleaning my house as we speak for the tour ala love bug. I can tell you this though.. it wont be starting with the kitchen that didn't get finished this weekend. Partially because we decided to go away this weekend and spend some alone time together. It was a nice rest. Kind of sad to come back to reality, work, dishes, laundry and of course Mr. P leaving. Never a fun day. So I'll see you tomorrow! Have a peaceful Sunday! :)

A tough choice.

I'm going to be honest with you all right now. I have a SERIOUS temptation sitting right.next.to.me.

It's name is Cheesy Gordita Crunch. Hello, friend.

I've lost 5 pounds already in my quest to *Not* look like I'm pregnant anymore, what do I do? I already went and bought it.. there's no harm right? *Sigh* It probably doesn't help that I paired it with a soft supreme and nachos. Yes, add the large mountain dew, soda from the devil and I'm doomed arent I? Yes, yes I am.

Anyways. (Anyway) I'm thinking of doing a tour of the home...Love bug style. What do you think? Will -YOU- be tuning in? My counter keeps going up but I don't see any beautiful faces to add to that? It makes me sad- THERE I SAID IT! :) But yes, so my kitchen should have trim and toe kick this weekend (obviously I can't show you with out toe kick.. ;)....) Which, will jump start my tour lets say...monday? Next week. You like? If it will bore you I can skip it.

Saturday night, ala LB1.

If you were to ask LB1 if she wanted to get her ears pierced- do you know what she'd say? "I can't because I don't know how to take care of them myself!!" Can you tell I didn't want her to get them done? :)


Saturday night she was ready. She wanted to go to the mall and get some pretties in her ears and she promised not to cry! :) Obviously after a bribe to eat her food and to be good for the next 17 years, it was settled.

And, she was true to her word! No tears! She was pretty shocked that it actually hurt. But once she saw them she was so proud! After the mall we went to mema's house and well.. around 9 o'clock we get pretty wild.

Taking turns in Mr. P's sisters "swing" (Lift for her bed) up down and around.

Oh look Daddy's turn. This was the best part, I think I pee'd a little. No, really.

Just keepin' it real. :)

Today is my 50th post. :) Happy anniversary blogger- from me to you.

Anyway, this weekend I took Saturday off for Mr. P and I to go get some things done that aren't so easy by myself during the week with two children who seem to always be hungry, tired, have to go potty the second we get in the store. One of the places we went to was Bed Bath and Beyond. Ahh, love.

We've decided we're getting a new bedroom. Nothing like furniture, but some new paint, fabric and pretties.

I saw this, and knew I had to have her.

Isn't she so girly and beautiful? Originally that's not what I wanted at all. I wanted sleek, hotel like white. (But c'mon with a 1 year old still in bed with me at night, white isn't the best choice when diaper leaks can and do happen.) I love the hints of pink, the crisp white. It just makes me want to snuggle up on a summer day with the windows open and take a sans kinds nap. Don't you? Can't you just see a vinyl dandilion on the wall with whispies floating around?

However, husband has a different taste. He likes the darks hence our room being blue. Blue comforter, dark furniture. Ack. Our bedroom is the smallest in the house (Yes LB1 got the bigger room upstairs- but that has a lot of reasons that probably don't matter much to you :)..) You know shoe boxes? That's a little bit bigger than our room. Dark is closing me in! I need the light, Walk towards the light Mr. P!

I may even consider this,

Do you understand my vision? I like to call it girly fluffy crisp and clean. Yes, exactly. And, besides like I told Mr. P he only spends the night in the bed one night a week. I think that technically means it's a girls room now. Pink is a necessity. :)

So tell me.. what should I do? Is the first one just too....young girl and I need to grow up? The second one isn't really the color scheme I'm looking for, you know that already though. What do I do!?!?!
