Lets go back and remember

The worst part about your husband *living* in a different city than you? Nights--Hate. Them. It'd be fine if I could get a good nights sleep! But, tonight I can't so join me wont you?
My Ode to:
Mr. Perfect.
Mr. Right.

Mr. Rachelle
Kidding, sort of. :)

So, turn up your speakers and listen to our songs. Which, I ADORE. Let's start with 311 Love song. You had to know that I wasn't the type of girl to walk down the isle to the Wedding March, no way no how. I walked down to this-- It's very me. Love the guitar, and the drums and the beachy feel it has to it. I could listen to it over and over!

My dad and I before I went down the isle, love.love. this. It was quite a moment.

We also chose very nontraditional songs for the wedding party to walk down- Red Hot Chili Peppers Hard to Concentrate. Before you give me the stink eye- we just used the background music :) Not the song with the lyrics. Listen closely, its lovely.
We ended with Bob Marley, it was PERFECT, actually the DJ's idea. Love him for that. Now are you re-thinking reading my blog? Trust me, this is just a peek into how cray-zay I really am. :)Smile.
Just like my life- most of my wedding was about the little details. We chose not to spend money on centerpieces and instead got favors that would really be memorable. And, an amazing cake. Which was DE-LISH. The bakery had never done a Mad Hatter cake before, they did an amazing job for their first time!

Jones Soda bottles with different pictures of our little family on them. This was by far my favorite and everyone elses!

While we had our pictures done with the wedding party we had a "candy bar" with assorted candies like, runts, gummy bears, m&m's etc. People LOVED it!

And, just in case they wanted to take a scoop home, we asked a local Chinese restaurant if we could buy some take out boxes and they gave them to us for FREE! I used scrapbook rub-ons to embellish them with quotes. :)

Most everywhere I go, I wear a layered necklace. So, it was only natural for the girls to wear them too. The pearls were classy and elegant. The creamy white looked perfect with the green and pink.

We danced our first dance to David Grey's This years love. This picture makes me melt. I was really upset because the venue didn't turn the spotlight on for our dance, so no one even noticed we were having our first dance! Of course I started to cry, I was so upset. But Mr. Right had all the "right" words. It wasn't about everyone watching us. It was about us. :)

Isn't the ceiling pretty here? I love the lights and all the reflections. We got married at a golf course, and the lodge where the reception was held was GORGEOUS stone, bronze and honey colored woods.

My dad requested that we play I loved her first, for our dance together. I thought that was especially cute- Since he'd been planning it and it was important to him. :)

That's all for our wedding day. Thanks for comin' by to see and remember with me! It's fun going back in time and reminiscing about all the little moments we had together. I'll probably keep our love tunes up, for fun. Enjoy!

And, of course...

Mr. Perfect, I love you sir! Miss you more and more everyday!

Thank you, Craigslist.

So do any of you out there have husbands who DRAW THE LINE at buying new (obviously needed) items.
Example: We bought a living room set from Art Van, 3 years ago. Included: A couch, love seat two side tables, a coffee table and.. the worlds ugliest lamps.

Said lamps-

Eww right? So, since Mr. P didn't see it as a necessity to get rid of them, and replace with new beauties. I did what any sane woman would do while her husband is a million miles away. Put them on Craigslist and buy new while he's gone. :) Smile.

Isn't she a beaut? The color is way off on my camera so the shade really doesn't look disgusting in person like it does in the picture. It's a nice tan color, with a black stripe. To match my other lamps I got, a tweedish fabric shade ;) or so I call it. And, a black shade. I luh-luh-love that they are all different shape lamps but go together with the shades and matching matte silver bodies. *Heart*

Oh, are you wondering why my lamps are on the floor? Ha, funny story. I put those tables on Craigslist too. 120.00 more dolla dollas in my pocket for new ones next week! :) Smilex2.

Poor husband came home to a whole new living room. But you can't see it until I get my tables. I want you to see the whole thing, and say ahhh like I do.

One more lovely I got? Well my ever so loving father gave me my old savings bonds so I could cash em out and buy some new clothes that fit, since I have gained and lost and gained and lost and have NOTHING to wear for our vacation.. *wah* Cry me a river, I know. Well, I went to Target.. the devils playground. And ran across the pillow isle.

I know- Priorities.

I'll be naked in Disney. But until then, I have some lovely fluffy perfect green/blue pillows to lay on.
[Shopping list. All Lampshades/lamps are from Walmart. Excluding the tall skinny base which was bought at Meijer. Brown and Blue Paisley pillows are from TJMAXX and Green knitted pillow from Target]

Everybody get together, Try to love one another- right now.

Should be.

Ya know when your so motivated to just scrub down your walls and get those old cheerios that were strategically placed in your sofa for safe keeping? Then you glance at that old dresser, and it speaks to you?

"Paint me"

She whispers to me.

So, naturally this is what I did instead.

Then, of course when I walk back into the house I see a mirror. And, look at my hair. Geez, why wouldn't someone tell me I look a "hot mess"?

So, I take some time to do this.

While eating this

and watching this.

I can clean tomorrow.

Pretty things.

Look what came in the mail today! I Finally won a give-away! I'm so excited especially because this is so freakin' cute and LB1 loves it, and I'm sure LB2 does too.. She just would rather put it in her mouth at the moment. I take that as a good sign though.

I won it from my dear friend Kathy @ Having a Hallelujah good time, Check her out! She was the first person to comment on my blog, and she's stayed ever since! That takes strength. I talk a lot about nothin' most of the time. Anywho, she started doing reviews and I'm lovin' it. Please check her out. She's sweet like caaandaay. You might too, win something gorg-u-ous.

So, let's talk business. I mentioned before I want to start an Etsy shop. And, before I chicken out and run away like a dog with it's tail between it's legs. I wanna have a give-away day. Week, Month. Something to see how my stuff goes. I wanna know if ya'll like it. The best part of blogging is, with these girls even if what you make isn't that great, the women are and they'll support you no matter what. SO I shouldn't be scuuured. But, I am.

But, I have a secret.

What I'm making is fabulous.

Here's the deal. I'd like to come back next Monday at start my give-away. I'll pick a winner by Wednesday night and have the fabooshness out by Thursday at high noon. ;) Anyone have a guess to what it is?

If you end up liking what I have, I may even open shop early instead of May 1st like I originally planned. Oh, and for a discounted price because I luh-ve you guys.

Any thoughts, ideas, opinions welcome.

I'm new to this.

OBVIOUSLY,

I reek of freshmen meat over here.

Hoppy Easter!

Anybody else having the Easter bunny come tonight? I sure am. Not only does LB1 and LB2 get excited about it. BUT they were more than willing to hop (get it) into bed early tonight! Yess. I've seen buckets like these around the Internet world before and I had used the paint can idea before for Halloween but I wanted to take a try at these. I love them. I've even got a UH-MAZIN idea for my Etsy shop because of these. Excited to show that soon too.. I'm working on it, just not fast enough!

Anyway, here they are in all their glory. Enjoy!

Galvanized buckets from Lowes, 3.00. Ribbon *Too much* I spent more on ribbon than I have in my life, however, I have plenty left for later. Wands, 1.00. Movie, 9.00. Cup and journal 1.00 each.

LB1 & LB2 's faces in the a.m...

Hopefully priceless.

My bff comes over every Sunday night for Tudors and Pizza, So naturally I made her one too. Nono, if your watching- avert your eyes! Hers is more decked out so she can put things in it in her room. Which she better *Evil eye*

Well, that's enough. Happy Easter everyone. I hope you get to spend some wonderful time with all your families, and of course- the Easter bunny is fun and all, but don't forget the other reason.

My Teeny Tiny Bathroom

Well, I promised this Monday, and had a blizzard. So I promised it Wednesday, and I ran out of batteries for my camera. BUT I'm here now, with pictures of my *almost* big enough for two people bathroom. Pictures are bad because- you know the drill bad camera.

Enjoy.

Wow, that's dark. It's an absolutely better color than it looks here. And, as you can see LB1 doesn't understand the fact that some towels are for looks only.. So, most of the time there are four there. Much more filling and pretty. Now, help with the shelves, they're way too high and I'm aware of that, but I couldn't think of anything to put in the empty space. Besides some shelves and frames one of which is empty? You like!? ha.

Now you can really see how small my bathroom is! Scary huh? Oh look at that, it's so small the window is going into the tub. Can you imagine sharing this with 3 other people on a daily basis! I barely had anything to work with! But, I loved the house anyway. Remember I said there was tile on the walls? Yeah, we just covered that with the bead board. I'm sure experts would say that's a no-go. But, it worked for me, you can't even tell. Liquid nails are my bff.

Here is my sink. It's nothing special just a stock sink and base from Home Depot. You should have seen the sink before. It was attached to the wall so 1.) no storage. Bad! 2.) Was very rusty on the lower part. Do you know what that means? When rust gets hot, apparently it drips. Yes I had drippy rust on my floors. Ick! Bad! 3.) It had two separate spouts. As in one handle and spout gave you hot, one cold. There was NO warm water! Imagine me splashing the two together to wash my face. It happened. Bad! Now it's pretty, clean and white. With plenty of storage underneath for all my stockpile of stuff for the bathroom. :) Love.

This was my inspiration! Isn't she lovely? Kohl's, last year. I have a matching frame too! Wanna know what they had at Targets global bazaar this year? Yep a matching mirror. Huge. Shoulda' got it but.. 100.00 for a mirror when I already had one. Mr. P didn't quite agree with that. And, it's not like I coulda' pulled a "Oh we already had that you just don't pay enough attention" again. Some day he's gonna catch on. :)

Welcome to my storage closet. Over the door shoe holder. Love. You. It holds everything I need and it's all in close reach. And, you can't see it right now, but I hang my bathrobes there too, so if someone where to come in my bathroom and close the door they'd just see a few robes not all my JUNK.

Well that's it ya'll! I know, it's not that great looking from the outside world. But to me, it's lovely. She was tiny cold and hadn't had a face lift -EVER- There's something about a do it yourself project that gives you so much pride, others just don't understand!
